Saint Mary’s Volunteer Kathryn Kinsey Honored as 2024 Auxilian of the Year
November 6, 2024
Saint Mary’s Regional Health System proudly announces that Kathryn Kinsey, a dedicated member of the Saint Mary’s Auxiliary, has been named the Arkansas Hospital Auxiliary Association’s (AHAA) 2024 Auxilian of the Year. This prestigious honor, awarded to auxiliary members across the state who embody the highest standards of volunteerism, reflects Kathryn’s unwavering commitment to serving Saint Mary’s and the Russellville community.
Since beginning her volunteer journey at Saint Mary’s in 2012, Kathryn, now 96, has contributed over 5,477 hours of service. Her role in the auxiliary includes greeting visitors, delivering flowers to patients, transporting lab samples and assisting wherever she is needed—all with a warm smile and a compassionate spirit.
Kathryn’s commitment extends beyond her regular volunteer shifts; she is an active participant in Saint Mary’s annual auxiliary events, including the Balloons and Kisses Sale, the Fall Basket Raffle and the Christmas Stockings for Babies initiative. Her service also recently included representing Saint Mary’s at a community health event, where she helped raise awareness of heart health by conducting blood pressure and pulse checks for attendees.
“Kathryn embodies the heart and soul of what it means to be an auxilian,” said Janet Thurber, Saint Mary’s Auxiliary Board Leader. “Her service and compassionate approach make her an inspiration to us all.”
Kathryn’s recognition as 2024 Auxilian of the Year is a testament to her enduring impact on Saint Mary’s Regional Health System and the community it serves. Saint Mary’s is grateful for Kathryn’s dedication and is honored to celebrate this remarkable milestone with her.
