Saint Mary’s Honors Labor and Delivery Nurse Haley Stanton with DAISY Award

Saint Mary's Regional Health System is proud to announce that Haley Stanton, RN, a compassionate and dedicated nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit, has been honored with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. This prestigious recognition highlights Haley’s exceptional commitment to patient care, her calming presence and her unwavering support during one family’s most critical moments. 

Haley was nominated by a patient who recently delivered her baby prematurely at 36 weeks gestation. In their heartfelt nomination, the patient shared the impact Haley had on their experience: 

“We arrived at Labor and Delivery feeling anxious because our baby was coming earlier than expected. Haley immediately recognized us from high school and made us feel welcomed. She was so kind and took the time to explain every step, making sure we understood what was happening. Her calm presence helped us feel at ease during a time of uncertainty. We couldn’t have asked for a better nurse to support us through such an unexpected experience.” 

Haley expressed her gratitude for the recognition, saying, “One of the main reasons I love working in the Labor and Delivery unit in my hometown is being able to reconnect and bond with people I grew up with and create new friendships through helping deliver their sweet babies. Being there for this sweet patient and being the calm in their world of anxiousness is what I strive to do every day for my patients.”
