Saint Mary’s Regional Health System Enhances Safety with New Security Doors on Women’s and Children’s Unit
October 15, 2024
Saint Mary’s Regional Health System is pleased to announce the installation of new security doors on our Women’s and Children’s Unit, reinforcing our unwavering commitment to the safety of our patients, visitors and staff. This upgrade is part of our ongoing efforts to create a secure and calm environment, ensuring the highest quality of care for every mother and child.
Visitors and staff who do not have authorized badge access will now be required to use the call button to enter. Although we recognize that this new measure may cause minor inconveniences, we believe it represents a small but essential step in enhancing patient safety. The comfort and security of our patients remain our top priority.
“We understand that any change in procedures can be frustrating, but the safety and well-being of our patients and staff are at the core of everything we do,” said Casey Willis, Saint Mary’s Chief Executive Officer. “Those who need access will still have it, and we are working hard to ensure that this transition is as smooth as possible. The extra moment it takes to enter is a small sacrifice for the peace of mind that our unit is safe and secure.”
Saint Mary’s would like to thank all our patients, visitors, and staff for their understanding and cooperation during this transition. We believe these enhanced safety measures reflect our commitment to ensuring a welcoming, safe, and secure environment for everyone at Saint Mary’s.
