Saint Mary’s Earns Inpatient Quality Incentive Award
February 17, 2025

Saint Mary’s Regional Health System has been recognized by Arkansas Medicaid and the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC) as part of the annual Inpatient Quality Incentive (IQI) program. Saint Mary’s was honored for its dedication to the program for 10 or more years and its ongoing efforts to improve the health of Arkansans.
The IQI program, established in 2006 through a partnership between Arkansas Medicaid, AFMC, and the Arkansas Hospital Association, evaluates hospital quality by assessing patient care. Participating hospitals that demonstrate measurable improvements in health outcomes receive financial incentives to support their continued efforts.
This award comes at a milestone moment for Saint Mary’s as the hospital celebrates 100 years of service in 2025. Since opening its doors in 1925, Saint Mary’s has been dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care for the Arkansas River Valley. Over the past century, the hospital has expanded its services, enhanced its technology, and grown into a regional healthcare leader. Today, Saint Mary’s offers a Level III Trauma Center, a Chest Pain Accredited Emergency Department, cancer care, behavioral health services, and inpatient rehabilitation, among other essential medical services.
"This recognition is a testament to our team's dedication to improving patient outcomes and delivering the highest standard of care," said Casey Willis, Saint Mary’s CEO. "As we celebrate our 100th anniversary, we are grateful for the opportunity to continue caring for our community and remain dedicated to providing compassionate, quality healthcare for the next 100 years.”
