11 Nurses at Saint Mary’s Recognized for Excellence in Stroke Care

Saint Mary’s Regional Health System is incredibly proud to recognize these outstanding nurses for their exceptional contributions to stroke care in our emergency department. These dedicated individuals are part of our Stroke Champion Club, achieving top scores on the stroke scale and administering life-saving medication quickly.
The Stroke Champion Club is a distinguished group of healthcare professionals who consistently perform at the highest levels, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.
Their combined average time from door to treatment was an impressive 37 minutes. Cortney Watson, RN, had the fastest door to treatment time at our facility of 19 minutes. This remarkable efficiency significantly improves patient outcomes, reducing the risk of long-term damage from strokes. We are grateful for their commitment and proud to celebrate their achievements in improving patient care and outcomes.

- Certificates of Excellence for perfect test scores
- Bronze for administering medication within 60 minutes
- Silver for within 45 minutes
- Gold for within 30 minutes
